Daya Cafe in the Majidieh neighbourhood of Tehran was designed with one overriding ambition: to create a space that makes people want to linger. The brief called for an intimate, characterful cafe environment that would feel equally welcoming whether a guest arrives for a morning espresso alone or a long afternoon with friends.

The design language draws on warm industrial references — exposed structure, raw textures, hand-finished surfaces — softened by considered lighting and carefully chosen furnishings. Every corner of the space has been designed to be comfortable and photogenic without ever feeling contrived. Daya is a neighbourhood cafe that earns its place in the community through quality of space and quality of experience.
